So don't just listen to what I have to say about myself, have a read about what some of my clients say:

I am so glad I took the plunge and signed up for the NextGen Triathlon training for novices. We had 2 coached session per week and had a training plan to follow independently the rest of week. The group was of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels and we soon 'gelled' into a keen-bean tribe of wannabe triathletes.

The social aspect of group training was definitely a motivating factor. Alison is a superb coach with a sharp eye for improving technique. She gave us individual feedback was a tireless source of encouragement and support. I completed the bolt distance in December and had a lot of fun along the way. Would recommend joining  the group wholeheartedly but be warned, as I was, that doing your first Triathelon, is the entry - level drug! Just do it!” Zena

Being in my early forties I had been thinking about new challenges and participating in a triathlon was already on my radar so when the course presented itself I jumped on board.

The eight week program was well set out with a comprehensive training program to guide us through to completing a triathlon at the end. Alison did a fantastic job at keeping everyone involved motivated and well informed about all aspects. She gave positive feedback to help improve in areas required, her knowledge of triathlons, training required and technique specifics are top class.

With Alison's help and training regime I improved my swimming technique from being out of breath after 50m to be able to swim a sprint distance (750m) continuously. I also noticed the constant improvement of other individuals throughout the program. At the end of the program I completed the Sprint distance and was very happy with my efforts. The comradery from within the group really helped to spur each other on.

I would definitely recommend this course to anybody wanting to give a triathlon a go, the lessons learnt are invaluable for you first time. Many thanks Alison “Daniel

I just wanted to say thank you. I used to be a runner, but due to changes in work routine, gaining weight, then the knee injury and the anxiety I’ve not felt like a runner for a very long time. I run/walk everything.

To give you some context, on 27 Jan I ran a new parkrun PB. I was pleased. But I still had a short walk at 2k, 3k and 4k. Mentally, 5k still felt FAR and 2k was the most I felt I could run in one go.

This was all psychological - I used to worry about blowing up and not being able to get home. I used to worry about being so tired I’ll stop concentrating, lose my footing and twist my knee. Except I do my knee exercises and my fitness has improved, so these weren’t real issues - it was just a habit I’d formed and I would “reward” myself with a little walk.

You’ve worked hard to build my fitness, endurance and confidence, and I’m very grateful.

I got a new PB today, but the most important thing for me was that I ran the first 6.5k at my target pace without any walking breaks. And it felt EASY! I only stopped because a woman fell behind me and I picked her up and walked 20 metres with her to make sure she was ok. Later in the race, it got harder to keep going, but I am so proud of myself. I know that “only” running the first 6.5k of a 10k may not seem like a win, but for me this is huge. I turned up this morning hoping to make it to 3k before I started run/walking to the clock.

I’m pleased with my time, but I’m more pleased with the fact that, for the first time in about 8 years, I feel like an actual, proper runner again!

"Alison's expertise in programming and wisdom in guidance and feedback saw me slice almost ten minutes off my Olympic Distance triathlon time in a matter of months. I was especially moving faster on the bike and finishing stronger in the run. Alison's program saw me finally making the improvements I had wanted for a long time. She helped me to grow stronger and race smarter..”

“I wanted to take the chance to say thank you for everything this last year. I was thinking last night of all the things that I have done this last year and so many of them; including running a marathon, a 70.3 triathlon, an incredible summer of rowing and heli skiing, are things I never thought I would ever be able to do or had even thought about doing a couple of years ago! I certainly had never dreamed that I would have celebrated my 40th birthday being fitter, healthier, stronger, happier and more confident than ever before. Nothing that I have achieved up to now, and hope to continue to achieve, would ever have been possible had I not met you and I cannot tell you how much that means to me and cannot thank you enough for not just giving me my life back but showing and enabling me to have an entirely new and amazing different life full of so many incredible experiences, adventures and possibilities .”

Before training with Alison I was doing pilates once a week and walking the dog, but nothing particularly taxing. Although I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to exercise due to back and hip issues, the sessions have been very productive.

I have lost weight and toned up. I also have more energy and feel better within myself.

I was also wary that Alison would be able to provide me with the correct exercises to be able to work around my joint issues. I needn't have worried as I now actually enjoying doing the exercises she's designs specifically for me. They are adjusted as we go along, so I am constantly challenged, and see regular improvements.

I did the triathlon training program with Alison in 2019. It was absolutely brilliant and I am planning to do her next one in 2020.

Having never done a triatholon before I found Alisons training course very well structured and so valuable. We met twice a week, which included a training schedule and training sessions programmed to improve our performance in running, swimming and cycling. She taught us transitions, gave us tricks and tips and equipment recommends, in order to get us ready for our triathlon.

Afterwards, she helped me translate my performance from the triatholon statistics, to identify and recommend where and how I could improve ready for my next triathlon.

I would highly recommend Alison' triathlon training program for all ages and abilities. I'm 52 and I am encouraging my 16 yo son to do this next time.”Karena

I am a lady who has never exercised and am the wrong side of 60. I took my fitness for granted only to find my stamina, strength or flexibility had disappeared. In just a few months Alison has turned this around. Using a personal programme she has been able to convince me that it is not too late to get fit.

My family have noticed how I no longer stoop, and walk with my head lifted looking fit and vital. The feeling of improving fitness is wonderful, as is the deep night’s sleep I now get. I have also started Nordic walking , which is a great way of getting fit in beautiful countryside, with other like-minded people. I have had many years of inactivity behind me so there is a lot to make up, but already

I am seeing a difference and am walking up hills with far less breathlessness. Thank you so much Alison, my newly found fitness has had a positive effect on every area of my life"

Before I started my sessions with Alison I had got myself into a bit of a rut in terms of exercise. I used to be fairly fit but over the past year I had put on weight and my body started to become a bit squidgy in places it had never been squidgy before! Due to my busy schedule, I only had time to exercise first thing in the morning and I just couldn't motivate myself to get out of bed that early. When looking for a personal trainer I wanted to find someone who would understand that I needed to pushed and worked hard. I had a few reservations about finding the right personal trainer for me as I had a clear goal in my mind of what I wanted to achieve and previous personal trainers did not quite meet my high and fussy standards. However the moment I met Alison I knew I was in safe hands and we were on the same wave length, to be honest it was a massive relief! The first session was a massive shock to the system but we got cracking straight away. As the weeks unfolded the exercises got harder to keep pushing me and Alison amended to the programme to ensure it had variety and kept it interesting. After each session i walk away with a massive buzz for the rest of the day, even though the day started at 5.20am!

The obvious results have been inch loss and more muscle tone, however it has also given me my mojo to exercise back. I am far more motivated to get up early to exercise by myself before work plus make sure I make time in the week for exercise as feeling good about my body and myself is important to me!
